Understanding the rise of China

Here is what I got:

Some Western assumptions show ignorance about China, which is explained because of recent Western dominance of the world which did not require to understand anyone.

  1. The biggest economy in the world will soon be a third world country.

  2. China will not become more western as it dominates the world.

  3. Chinese nationality is not a modern invention, unline the western nation-state idea.

  4. Most important value in China is unity, based on civilisation state idea. This allows multiple systems in the same country.

  5. Chinese state power is not challenged both because it has not been challenged for 1000 years and out of respect as the spiritual keeper of the culture. It is the respected patriarch of everyone, and its authority is everywhere.
